About CRI
Building a Better Arlington by Building a Free Skatepark
Who We Are
CRI is a public 501(c)3 Texas Non-Profit Corporation formed after Cody’s Rocamontes’s death in 2009. We honor his memory by doing all we can to educate the community on safe, legal skate practices while continuing to move forward with a skatepark in Arlington.
Our Mission
Cody Rocamontes Inc. seeks to promote and support the construction and function of a public skatepark(s) in Arlington, TX, facilitating safe, legal skateboarding.
CRI’s Commitment
A safe, legal place for kids to skateboard is in the mutual interest of the City of Arlington, business owners, and residents. A public skatepark reduces property damage, reduces fines imposed on youth for illegal skating, and promotes a healthy lifestyle. Kids need a place to participate in their sport of choice without putting their physical safety in jeopardy by vehicles and other inappropriate obstacles. CRI is dedicated to raising the funds to begin initiation of Arlington’s Master Skatepark Plan (http://www.arlingtontx.gov/parks/simple/planning_skatepark.html).
